It will give you a little more turbo lag. Replace the hose.

I'm assuming it's the stock hose as just about everything aftermarket involves hardpipes.

the hose is compromised thus it has lost its rigidness. What are the side effects? Nothing determental but one could argue that loss in performance as the air that is being pushed into the engine is turbulent due to the balloning. That and your hose rupturing. As Adam said: replace the hose

really turbo lag? could this be the reason I'm taking long to build up target boost?

I have my power FC measure the boost and it seems like it wont reach target boost until later in the rev range , it will stay at like 8 psi until later up ..

I thought I had a boost leak or something lol , and yes i'm in the plans to replace the messed up hose just need to find what angles I need .

I have the S pipe the one that goes pre IC , and that is a whole lot of trouble it was rubbing with one of hte pullies I had to grind it down till it wouldnt rub anymore . I bought it used .

but 200 for that is just not worth it .. I rather save up and get a whole diff IC setup . I guess i'll bandage the tube I have till I can afford a diff intercooler setup

I see a roll of duct tape in your future .............. which will probably work well with a few layers.
