ecu question

i was wondering because i might have to take out my battery to get it tested/ new one.. it wont erase any of the settings or tune will it?

That sounds like such a stupid question, but i've been wondering the same thing but never wanted to ask. If I unplug my desktop it won't erase-or my xbox360 or ps3...but what if?

Tuners would all have big houses in Miami and London if it did Its £300 a remap in the UK !.

Assuming you have a PFC, the only way to reset the map(back to the original settings) is to manually hit the "all data init" function in the commander. I'm pretty sure if the battery has been disconnected for a while, the PFC will be "reset" just like the stock ECU. Meaning the tuned map is still in the PFC, but you'll probably have to go through the idle learning process.
