ECU Plug Wires. What are these for?

So in the process of putting my car back together I am finding many mysteries left by the previous owner. The current one I am stuck on is some pulled pins from the large ecu connector, Connector B1-01. I have looked at the wiring diagrams and I am slightly baffled as to what I am looking at. The wires I am looking at are in picture 1. They are Black/Red, Blue/Yellow, and Brown/Yellow.

From looking at the diagram it seems the wires connect to the following pins and other parts of the car.
Black/Red- pin 1C, goes to starter interlock switch (attached picture also says it is the thermoswitch control)
Blue/Yellow- pin 1N, goes to instrument cluster
Brown/Yellow- can't find this one

Are these assumptions correct?

My questions are do I need these pins and how would I go about reconnecting them? (I have a donor harness I can pull things from if need be My car is single turbo with emissions deleted. I have also attached pictures from the diagram for the connector B1-01 and a color code.

Thanks in advance,
Ryan

Brown Yellow is most likely part of the AWS system (not needed) or Fuel Thermosensor...IIRC.

Check the single turbo harness thread...I believe the Fuel Thermosensor is needed.

Thanks for the input. I actually grabbed the wiring diagram picture I attached from the How To:single turbo harness thread. From when I read through that thread I did not see a mention as to what colors ran to what plugs just that you should find "this" connector and cut the colored wires from it. I will browse it again later today though.

Note: I'm looking at a 1994 wiring diagram, so this info could be totally off since I don't know what year your car is. There were small changes year to year. There's a bazillion wires and pins and connectors on these cars, and this is an area where attention to detail matters A LOT.

BR/Y Would that be pin 4P? Is there a stub of cut wire in that position in that connector? 4P is the AWS solenoid.

Pin 1C is the starter interlock switch. That's all there is to it. Is there a pin missing from that position on that connector? Is the other B/R wire still in the appropriate place in the other connector?

L/Y is pin 1N or 4V. Again, is there a pin missing from either position on either connector?

Wait...you're not using the full wiring diagrams? Just snippets from elsewhere? Bad idea. Can't go on wire color alone.

I have the full wire diagrams but I grabbed that picture from the thread because it was easily accesable. My car is a 93 but, the harness very well may be a 94.

It looks like the B/R came out of one of the middle inputs in the connector but my diagram says B/R is on one of the ends. This is why i'm a little confused. I will look it again later.

Any other input here guys? I would like to get the wiring in this weekend. I am more worried about which points they go into in the connector than what they are for. That way I could put the pins in and not worry about if i need it or not.

The "large" connector is actually connector 4. Now, the black with red in connector 4 is in pin 4F which is the split air bypass which is removed as shown if you have a PFC.
The blue and yellow if out of connector 4 and pin 4O is the EGR solenoid which is also removed for use of a PFC. The brown and yellow from connector 4 pin 4P is the AWS and also removed for PFC use. So it looks like this harness was correctly modified albeit not insulated for a PFC ECM. There should also be pin 3J which is blue / green removed which is the EGR switch.

If the above is true then this car /harness is a1994 as it has the EGR.

Thanks for your help. Can you post a picture from the wiring diagram of the connector you are talking about so I can locate those pins you are referring to? I assume it is a 93 harness bcause I could not find the BR/Y wire on my 93 diagram.

Note the Blue/Green (3J) is in connector 3.
