Which ecu for euro-spec FD ?

Hi !

Anyone knows if the euro-spec FD ecu is similar to Cali or non-Cali ECU ? I'm asking because I'm buying an aftermarket ECU (M2 Stage3 or Pettit) for my '93 FD and don't have the slightest idea which ECU would fit my car. Anyone knows ? Our cars have 240bhp stock.

Thanks !

Please help me out Yea, like you haven't heard that before around here

...lots of people on here will suggest a one-off (single tune) chip. I personally think that's an incredibly foolish move if you intend to progressively expand the potential of your car.

I can't, as there's not a single rotary tuner around. If I feel like it, I will go all out later and go single, PFC, WBO2, etc.. and tune it myself. Currently I'm stuck with a preprogrammed ECU. Its not ideal but suits my best atm.

great, but you can't deny that you could pre-program a pfc - then get it retuned. Same deal, more user-friendly, more flexible. End result- cash saved.

Cruiser: Where are you from? Only says Europe

In sweden where i come from there are some who can tune rotaries and we are a couple who have bought an AEM ECU. Personally i wouldnt go with the Power FC since it's kinda expensive when you look at what you can do with it, especially in europe.

Also, you can use a Pettit ECU or something similar in your car, no prob.

I'm in Slovenia.
Just need to know whethere there will be problems if I plug a 95 non-Cali M2 ECU into my '93 FD (Euro-spec, but that isn't really a problem they say).

I'll get PowerFC later maybe, when I get the complete stuff: Datalogit, WBO2, ...

I think '95 doesn't have EGR valves. Does that make your check-engine-light lit all the time on '93 ?

Come one guys, one must know if I can put non-Cali '95 M2 ECU into my euro '93 FD.
Is there a way I can check it myself ? Do I need to check whether I have an EGR valve ?
'95 non-Cali doesn't have one right ?

My FD doesn't have an EGR valve. Would the '95 ECU non-Cali work in my car ?
