I bought a set impulsively about a year ago and plan to install them on my upcoming build. I figure I'll try them out for the hell of it

Any recent feedback on these suckers? My new build is in full effect and I plan on using them.

Speed of light fab'ed something similar for his LIM, UIM and TB. The material and extra thickness of his gaskets act an insulator between those parts resulting in lower heat transfer and cooler metal and intake air temps.

I think he used them in conjunction w/ OEM gaskets on each side. I think he has a post or two with info.

I did read that thread earlier this morning, thanks

What he did is a bit different and more 'custom,' I already have the ebay pieces so plan on using them, possibly with stock gaskets on each side.

I haven't found a place that sells phenolics for the 13b. I've seen a couple of topics on these gaskets and they don't seem to be any worse than stock.

So i understand how these are supposed to work. It makes sense in theory. The only one that i have a concern with is the lower intake manifold gasket. The reason is because, yes, it is spacing it away from the engine block. But in turn it is moving the intake manifold closer to the turbos. Is that a valid trade off? I understand the idea of installing one on the upper to lower intake manifold area but even still you have coolant going through the throttle body which is bolted to the upper intake manifold. So it all kind of just seems silly for this particular car.

The first point may be valid, but most of the modified FDs I see/work on have the coolant through the TB deleted.
