I find it wierd how all the good threads get locked. It just got interesting and then, closed. I really wanted to here what would be said next. After all a mod and a few high post count guys spent 4 pages talking all kinds of trash about this product to find out the guy making them is a member with all most 1000 posts. Wow talk about foot in mouth. Just goes to show you dont judge a book buy its cover or product by its price.

I just received mine 5 minutes ago and already opened, read the instructions and probably would have it installed had it not been my slight concern to my presently broken spine and neck.
It is a clean, simple kit, super easy install. Fastens to a reinforced surface of the firewall, into existing threaded holes so, I don't think that tearing out the firewall will be an issue. The simple rubber pad is a nice touch to absorb small vibrations.
I am happy with the kit, being a self doer of things I don't think that I would have even bothered to begin the collection and machining of necessary parts for the price that I paid for this one.
I truly do not understand the mindless hatred of so many people here for anyting that E-Bay carries. Yes, there is a lot of junk there but, lot of good buys, as well. Where else can you buy a brand new kit of C-West sleek light kit for $450, as I recently did on E-Bay?
Thanks for starting the original thread and leading me to buy this brace.

simply put. I have found that many of the people who have been members here a long time are (or were) either spoiled rich kids and/or have no concept of the value of a dollar.
I have had my fd for around 5 years. but have only been a member of this forum for a couple. I also work hard every day for my money as a contractor. I build things with my hands and dig holes for my money. I know the value of every single dollar I have. If I can get a product for 5 dollars compared to a "big name product" that functions close to the same but costs nearly 10 times as much. I will chose the 5 dollar product.
There are people who would buy the more expensive product. They are called snobs.

People buy more expensive products for many reasons and being a snob has very little to do w/ it. For most people its the name they trust, quality, safety, durability, reliability, fitment, style, overall appearance, and etc.... The "big name" companies pay top dollar to have these products tested through R&D and most have been provened on both the street and track. Some people just like to spend the extra money to save them the headaches and time down the road, there's nothing wrong w/ that.
To me this ebay torque brace looks like crap and cheaply made, but thats just my opinion. I dont trust a lot of products on ebay because a lot of them have never been tested properly. Im not saying this torque brace has never been tested, just ebay products in general. There's other shops (for example: rotary extreme, rx7store.net, and etc..) that offer the same products as the "name brands" but at a very low price. Why not go w/ them? Being cheap is one thing, but buying a product that's never been proven is just stupid, IMO. But who cares what I think, in the end, its your car, do whatever the fawk you want.

I would rather have really nice wheels instead of a really nice tourqe bar and some decent wheels. In other word save your money for the expensive turbo, not the expensize strut tower bar. Would it be nice to have bot, yes. But when you live in a town were the average wage is less than 10 dollars an hour you take what you can get. (I do make a lot more than that buy the way ). But my adopted little brother does not, and we built a fd for him as well.

I don't think buying more expensive products makes you a snob. That generalization is so offensive I'm not sure how to respond.
What I don't like about ANY of these engine torque braces is the POTENTIAL for trouble in the DESIGN. I think what people have been trying to tell you is that the design is potenitally flawed. Regardless about the quality of the build a solid brace like this can lead to leaks in the LIM
here is a quote from the thread "mods you regret"
Engine torque brace + bad (repeated)wheel hop= slight air leaks in the LIM. Result...... my TB has been laid to rest.
https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...ighlight=brace
If you are going to run a solid ETB you need to know the potential of FUBAR'in your LIM, especially if you have not changed your motor mounts or diff mounts. Using a solid ETB as a "fix" for bad motor mounts is asking for trouble.
people have even tried other places that could be safer to mount a ETB to combat this problem
https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...ighlight=brace
so I don't think what people as saying to you that it's junk in regards to materials, but junk in regards to engineering. If you are going to run a ETB in that area you probably want some kind of "give"
