Dyno today - needs interpretation

OK, so I got the car back together solid, and am happy that the new turbos are good. I wanted to get everything going well, get a baseline dyno plot before I open up the intake and drop in the midpipe, and put on the power FC.

So I went to the local speed shop, they had to guess at some of the final drive ratio numbers, and they seemed surprised by my power output (I was surprised by my boost spike). Please give me your opinion of my cars health, and how safe it would be to go on to the next step:

PowerFC and Datalogit are next, and then back to the dyno to tune in my DIY wideband with their Motec before the intake and exhaust...

Ant that boost plot

here is the boost log by rpm, the red line is a 4th gear pull, the blue is a 3rd...

I like everything but the Dif ratio guess.

US 5-spd FD's had a 4.1 final diff stock. I think the 3rd gear ratio is 1.23:1 and I know 4th is 1:1

Why does the graph say "Flywheel power graph" at the top?

don’t know, it was definitely rear wheel.. Probably could have added a drive line loss estimate, and it would have "corrected" for it, but there was none of that..

I saw some other dyno plots used 4.95 for the ratio, which if i understand it correctly, would have put my torque at about 230 instead of 221

I dunno if you asked this question, but I'll answer.

I'd try and fix that boost spike if I were you. If you enlarge your wastegate pill or use a Holley carb jet instead it will elminate or greatly reduce the spiking. Spiking isn't good because you can go lean (I don't think you said the PFC was hooked up) and getting that big spike in torque can screw you up in the corners.

I bumped my pill size up from the stock .068" to .073" on the wastegate and it elminated the spike all together. Mods are similar on my car DP, CB and Efini y-pipe.

Good luck!

Jeff
