Dyno and swapping ECUs - any problems ?

I'm going to the dyno again tomorrow and I will have the possibility to dyno first at 10 and then at 13psi with my M2 Stage3 ECU and then with a friend's Pettit Unlimited ECU at same boost levels.

Could there be problems switching out ECUs on the dyno ? Like in... does the ECU need some time in the car to learn anything or something like that ?

Is there a potential hazard somewhere that I am not aware of by doing the swap on the dyno ? (obviously when I will switch the ECUs, battery will be disconnected)

Thanks!

Last time that I went to the dyno I had 285hp/260tq at 12psi on old plugs, old plug wires and stock exhaust diameter with crush bent piping on catback and 2.25" restrictor in the exhaust.

I'm interested to see what it will show now with mods in sig

Anyone outthere ever did M2 Stage3 vs. Pettit Unlimited dyno ?

Cheers!

Shouldn't really be a problem. Just check the codes real quick after the swap and before you jump back on the dyno (just to make sure everything is ok).

Back from the dyno.

280rwhp @10psi for both ECUs.

I also tried two runs at 13psi on both ECUs (M2 Stage3 and Pettit Unlimited) and with both I got nasty ignition breakup, yielding in lower power then at 10psi.

So... HKS TP is definately next on my list. I think 310-320rwhp at 13psi is quite realistic.

P.S.: I got new plugs, new plug wires, renewed grounding.
P.S.S.: With Pettit ECU I got less ignition breakup, but still plenty to rob me of my high end HP.
