Duel Oil Coolers (Two Driver side, or tranny cooler?)

Alright so I wanted duel oil coolers for my rebuild. I bought what I throught was a duel oil cooler setup which now after reading looks like a tranny cooler for the automatics.

Could I do the following?

1. Take out the fittings for the tranny cooler, and put in my own to run custom lines, one to the block and one to the driver side oil cooler?

2. Now I have two driver side oil coolers. Can I hook those two together? I know this would mean there were TWO oil thermostats.. I could in theory take out the thermostat in the second cooler. Then again just make custom lines to connect the two in a stock fashion? (This of course means I would have to flip the mount which hooks to the car since it will be hooking to a spot not there...)

3. I would rather not, but I could always just put the best looking cooler of them and run just a single....

Any thoughts? ( I will continue searching for fitting sizes... while I see what people think..)

Thanks for the help,
-Brian

Haha well... not exactly the reaction I thought I would get. I guess I will post back if I get any findings about either of the two main situatoins. I was just hoping to get that little extra protection for the oil temps at one point or another...

The tranny cooler works just fine. Remove the nozzle/hose fittings and install AN-10 fittings - this is what I did

Perfect, thanks for the response... I figure something like that would work. Did you end up making your own hoses to the block? Or did you somehow attach it to that stock setup? I figure I would replace the hose from the cooler to the block....

As I go through the process I will take a bunch of pictures. As of right now its just the two coolers sitting in plastic bags. so when I start the project I will take pics along the way.

Edit: Here are some useful search threads I have come across incase anyone else is interested:
