Dual fuel pump ?'s with pics

Alright, I am working on my dual fuel pump setup. I was wondering what you guys thought of it and if i might need to make some changes? No wires have been put onto this diagram as of yet im still trying to figure out how i want to run them so i can still maintain pressure in the tank...

In between the Npt fitting on the top of the tank i thought about running a rubber o-ring to ensure a good seal...

so with that being said...

They make unions that have soft washers (almost like nylon) to create a seal. I used them on my twin pump carrier. I notice you are planning on using a single -6 line. Depending on your hp goals you might want to use a -8.

Good luck.

what would be the Horsepower difference in using a -6 and -8?

IMO (if I were going to run two pumps)...I'd run pump to each rail. But even then I hear the FPR is a hard "T" that will restrict flow.

have you looked into Boost-A-Pumps? keep a single pump and raise the voltage during boost...IE when you need it.

pump fails, car stalls...

two pumps...1 pump fails...most likely blow the motor, as one pump will drop the pressure and lean out the tune.

actually having two pumps is not bad. If you wire both pumps together, and one fails the other will shut off as well. Plus with an incabin fuel pressure guage than you can monitor this as well. thus not allowing you to go lean. it would act as one pump.

Plus i ask again: what would be the Horsepower difference in using a -6 and -8?

you won't gain HP by going with larger lines, but it will allow you to tune for higher hp.
