Question Driver side door is difficult to unlock...

Well, the driverside door is really difficult to unlock. When I put the key in it, it's all flimsy. Could the lock assembly be broken?

The lock could be the problem. But also, how is the condition of your key? Is it worn?

Common problem, you haven't broken a key off in it yet have you??? You could check the lock assembly, and lubricate the mechanism and cables.
If you have to open up the car from the passenger side, or get keyless entry.

Just use a tube of graphite to lube it up.

Or, if you don't have quick access, use WD-40. But that'll be more temporary. Maybe use WD until you can get to a store to get some graphite.

Everyone has that problem. When I stick my key in the door and turn the lock just turns on its own will. Just have to jiggle it a few times and it opens for me.

But I'm just too lazy to fix it.

I fixed this problem just the other day. The cable running from the interior lock lever to the actual latching mechanism was pretty stiff. Lube that baby up!!

Wow, I didn't know lube would help THAT much. I guess I'll have to take apart my door jam. The thing is, it's REALLY WIGGLY... and I have to turn the key over several times before it opens the lock. I haven't broken any keys yet, though. I was thinking about getting keyless entry, but then people told me that it could potentially break the cable if I don't use a jap./euro. spec. actuator.
