CA Driver knee cushions

Anyone know if any exist? i think i saw an re-amemiya one but we all know how pricey RE stuff can get.

I sat in a 370Z and it was the first thing i noticed.

http://www.370zclub.org/images/370z_nismo-9.jpg

When you sit in the driver seat and rest your legs, your knees touch this cushion and it feels awesome.

If none exist within a good price range, who would be interested in buying one if made? I was thinking of trying to make something similar and if interest it high, maybe make a few more for others to try out.

kick-***. One of the things I dislike about my wife's new Mazda 6s is...all the damned hard plastic that KILLS your knees, both your right knee on the center console and your left knee on the door panel. I've complained to Mazda in every single survey they have sent me (4 different one) and told them the hard plastic has GOT to go away in any future cars.

which is why i want to make a LHD one for both your knees. A left one that is similar to the RE amemiya and a right one similar to the 370z

@ FC3S1991: And if its not expensive then go buy it for your RHD FD then. dont be a jerk.

id rather save my money for the expensive modifications and save on simple ones. thats what smart people do.

that would be awesome if you could do a LHD version
you could try calling up a few upholstery shops like jpmcoachworks, i've had a few things made by them on my wrx and the work they do is top notch

I'm in for this! You should do some research and if it seems feasible start a group buy interest thread.

I could use one for the console side and the door, I've literally got bruises sometimes after track days.

I can't seem to get your links to work. But I saw those on the web. I went straight to eBay and saw those images there however the mounting is shown only in an RX8 I would be interested in seeing what they look like **mounted in a 3rd gen RX7.** Those a very square edged and look flat. The FD door side is very curved.
Can you help?
Regards,
Crispy

The fit isn't perfect. It won't follow the curve down and it'll cover part of the speaker grill. But it will work.
