Drag racer's ABS Fuse?
When Drag racing... for the burnout do you guys remove the ABS fuse?
I read this on Brooks Weiblat's old site. What would happen if you did not remove it?

if you don't remove it, you won't be able to keep the car stationary while you do your burnout......

Hi Brooks...
Nice to hear from you...
I went to the track today and only pulled a 12.36 @ 112 MPH
Couldn't 60 ft w. the M n H's today. I installed Koni's this year... the car is a little to low for the Tires...so I had to put rubber spacers in between the coils to prevent the tire from rubbing. I think that's why I could not get a good 60 ft.
I will add a manual boost controller soon to get more stable boost from my turbos.... currently still using the pills.
Nice to see you on the rx7 forum... tells me that you might miss your 7...
But I bet you must have fun with the Viper too...
jack.

whats was the 60'? with more boost you should hit 11's for sure.... on street tires I used to run 12.3 @ 118MPH...... with 2.0 60' times..... with the M&H's the 60' would drop to 1.6 - 1.7 and times would be in the mid 11's....
yea, I do miss the RX-7 somtimes.... although I wouldn't trade the Viper back for an RX-7..... I've gotten used to the instant torque always available....
I always ran the stock seq setup..... after hearing how loud Carlos and Deans non-seq setup was, I decided to stay seq....

hi Brooks,
I was getting a average 60 ft of 1.8. I think the suspention did not have enough give... for the rear weight transfer.
And I had the wastegate ported... and it's seems to loose boost at the higher rpm, this is contributing to the lower trap speeds. I'm planning on adding a electronic boost control to keep the boost constant to red-line. We are 2400 ft above sea level...if that matters at all.
For Rikki: http://www.rotarypowered.com/home.html
If I went single turbo in the future...? Will it be as loud as non-squential?
thanks for the replys,
jack.

Hi guys,
I know Brooks is an old school expert but I think your wrong Brooks.
I've done burnouts and had no problem holding the car still. REV it up, dump the clutch in the burnout box, quickly slam on the brakes. Front tires hold the car just fine as the rears spin. It doesn't take much pedal pressure either. I've also done this with a 300ZX with ABS, no problems.
Try it before you knock it.
Jeff
