downpipes
I was lookin thru past posts about downpipes and found some useful info, but would like to know straight up what a good downpipe that installs easilly (read about bolt problem with rx7store) and won't have fitting problems.
M2, pettit, hks, rx7store, etc.
thanks in advance

Had an original MindTrain (flatten top) section and it worked great. (about 7 yeatrs old) Mild steel, jet hot coated in and out, and thermal wrapped. O2 sensor in stock forward location. Used stock fasteners. Fit perfect.
Replaced it with an SS coated and thermal wrapped N-tech. Need to use one non-stock fastener. Has the O2 sensor behind the turbos where it is easy to get to.
Fit perfect.
No improvement seen on the dyno, and it is a little more noisy. I like the O2 placement as it makes it easy for me to plug in the EGT when testing.

I got the BONEZ downpipe. used stock studs. but damn, it was not easy to get on by myself, getting the pipe in place and bolting it down at the same time was a pain.
*I eventually put 2 studs towards the front in and used them to 'hang' the DP onto. Then I found that its going to take more than pushing the exhaust around to get the DP to bolt onto the main cat. geeeeeeesh - oh and becareful when un plugging the 02 sensor clip, mine wire popped off the sensor way too easily.
-sorry, I felt the need to vent.
