Downpipe install issue which involves broken bolts.
So what was supposed to only take maybe an hour to do is taking forever. Upon undoing the bolts to the midpipe, they broke off. I've tried drilling them. I've tried heating them with a torch. What's next? Last resort is to replace everything and be done with it, but any ideas on getting the bolts out anyway would be great.
Just spary some WD-40, lots of it, and wait for about 3-4 hours then go at it. Mine went out with some effort put. Oh and just curious as to which DP you decided to get?

I'm going to assume that you took the DP out already. This happened to me also. I ended up taking the exhaust manifold off and taking it to a machine shop for them to remove the broken studs.

took about 2 days to do mine, and it was only because i couldnt get to the top passenger side bolt, sprayed alot of pb blaster, which i think is better than wd-40 in this case.. i just wrapped it... PAIN IN THE ***... i decided just because of the trouble i had i want to go single.. more room to work with. and i am.
Sorry didn't make it clear. I took the turbos off the get the broken stud off but while I was taking those off, I broke a stud on the manifold too.
I did use a LOT of PB blaster and it didn't work. I cut to straight edges so I could grab it with a set of vice grip, no help. I cut a deep grove so I could use a large flat head with vice grip, no help. The machine shop ended up drilling the stud out and re-tapping the wholes. I don't think I paid much either. I know it wasn't more than $60 and I also got my pre-spool door removed to do full non-seq set up.
