I’ve tried using a screw driver to remove this plastic plug for the door harness and cannot get it to even budge. Do any of you guys who have done this before have any tips that can help me? I’d really appreciate any help I can get.

also, when you remove the door are you shutting it completely and then removing the bolts for the hinges, opening door handle and then removing it? Or are you opening the door, supporting its weight, and then removing the bolts for the hinges?

The harness is unplugged from the exterior of the car. Remove the boot, pull out the red lock tab, and the depress the release tab and pull the harness away from the body.
As far as the doors go- remove the fender, shut the door, remove the hinge bolts from the body and the connector, then support the door to pull it off while releasing the handle.

thank you!

I figured it would be better to use the handle and keep it shut.

The bolts between the hinge and the door are how the factory did it, which is why they are unpainted.
car gets painted with the doors off, interior gets installed, and then doors get put on.

its those 4 bolts, the pin for the door checker, and that connector
on the older Rx7's you can put a jack under the door, but the FD would be tricky, door is HEAVY too

Edit: if you have an engine hoist, maybe roll the window down, and use a strap through the window opening?

this is why I love this forum!! Thanks for the excellent suggestion, I didn’t think to use my cherry picker on the door! That will make life a ton easier and helps motivate me to get this done, I was NOT looking forward to taking these doors off lol.
