Door Noise When Shutting

My driver door makes a hollow metallic clank when I shut it. Passenger door sounds fine. Anyone else have or had this issue with one of their doors? I must add that the door is a bit hard to get shut, so I'm thinking alignment issue. I tried to adjust the receiver but no luck. I took the door panel off and inspected the inside of the doo and I didn't find anything loose.

Very common problem. The outer door skin comes unglued from the horizontal inner door brace/ crash bar. Re-attach them together using silicone is the easiest way.
The doors are hard to shut without slamming. Just the way it is. Some people have found that it closed easier if you swing the door almost closed, then push it closed firmly while it's still slightly open.

I'd use seam sealer, rather than generic silicone .
