Door Lock Cylinder Plastic Shutters

Anyone know where to find just the plastic shutters for the door lock cylinders? From some searching on here, eBay & Googling, it looks like they've all dried up.

If I can't find just the shutters, anyone know if the OEM key lock cylinders that you can still purchase include them or were they changed to metal too?

Thanks in advance.

Matt

Exactly! Sucks they're out of stock. I'll email them anyways. Hopefully they'll get more in the future.

I just ended up buying new lock cylinders from Atkins since the old shutters in mine had jammed the cylinder when they disintegrated and had a local locksmith match them to my original key. I would also recommend swapping to the metal door handles while you're in there since you have to disconnect everything anyway. I found it much easier with the locks out of the way.

~20 years ago I made one for the driver's side key slot out of some thin (~1/32") translucent fiberglass sheet I had lying around. I don't remember it being very hard to do.

I got mine from Code Red, fortunately they had them in stock at that time. I have also heard of people making them from a shampoo bottle - it should be fairly easy to cut one out from any semi-transparent piece of plastic.

I recommend using the plastic ones to retain the keyhole light.
