doest go above 5 mph??

I have a very weird problem wid my car. The car starts fine but it doesnt go above 5 mph even if i press the accelerator full. The pipe going from intercooler to throttle body contracts when i press the accelerator. Any idea what could be wrong??

Need a little more description of what is happening..

What do you mean contracts? like the plastic pipe colapses? or the coupler does?

if something is closeing up, there is something probably wrong with it..

Sounds like you've got a serious restriction in the intake. Is the car stock or modded? I'd pull the intake and associated piping and look in there for something stuck. If your running an aftermarket intake/filter check to see if didn't get sucked up in there. If everything on the intake side is clear then pull the upper part of the Y pipe and TB elbow and check in there. Good luck.

Well, the 2 pipes should be almost flush with each other, the coupler should not really gap the space. just seal it..

Hope that makes sense, you probably just need to move it around a little..

Do u think its because of any pipe leaking? therefore the car is not gettin any power at all? lets say theres a leak and the boost is leaking, but does it mean that the car doesnt run above 5 mph?

Not if it is colapsing..

It is either a restriction, or the coupler is on wrong, and when it colapses it causes the restriction.

Like you sucked up a bag and it's covering the intake. It's trying to suck but it can't, something is restricting it.

restriction: some sort of blockage. Something is preventing the engine from getting air.. The intake is plugged up somewhere.

Take a straw, put one end in your mouth and cover the other end with your finger, now suck real hard. See that? Understand what's happening now?

If you have a boost/vacume gauge, I'd be real curious what it's reading when this happens.

The reading is normal when the car is in neutral i.e 500mm/hg. However it doesnt go above this even if i press the accelerator full. I also checked the intakes and it seems normal and nothing is blocking or restricting it.

obviously something is blocking your intake! Perhaps you sucked in a small animal/small child or something , double check all your intake hoses.
