Does the oil level sensor wire d/c from the sensor

I bought a replacement charging harness and noticed the plug that is on my current oil level sensor does not connect to the replacement harness. This tells me the previous owner broke the original connector on either the charging harness, or the oil level sensor, or both and re-crimped with other connectors.

Long story short, does the oil level sensor disconnect from the oil sensor so that I can just buy a replacement wire/connector? Or do I to replace the whole sensor to get a new wire/connector?

No. The wire is part of the sensor. If you have any wire sticking out you may be able to solder a new piece on. But if it broke off flush, you are better off getting a new sensor.

Thanks for confirming. Looks like I'll try find a replacement.
