Does Odyssey PC680 battery cross reference to an Optima or others?

I forgot to disconnect my PC680 over the winter and it seems dead.

I left it on the 2A trickle charger for 4 days and it wouldn't start the car. I used my 200A engine starter to get her started and drove 17 miles to work. I parked the car and tried to re-start it and it just clicked (no juice).

I've read that you need to deep charge a discharged Odyssey by using a 40A charger that's regulated. I'm not sure how I can do this without massively overcharging the battery (won't that ruin it?).

Anyway, I'm kinda stuck at work without a battery and no one around here sells Odyssey's.

Does the PC680 cross reference to a similar size/power Optima or more common brand I could find at a parts store? I've googled, but was unsuccessful.

Thanks!!

I'm in the exact same boat. Does anyone have an alternative for the same size battery?

I made a thread on here last month about my pc680 bubbling. I replaced it with a Braille. If u find the thread I have the model number there. It's only ".5 inches bigger in some dimensions. Approx. I would find it, but I'm on my cell. They have smaller ones than the unit I bought. Summit racing had them.

I don't think so because of the cells of the optima, the closest thing to a 680 would be basically 2 cells of an optima. I ran a 925 for a while until it crapped out on me. Going to try a cheaper dry cell or a Braille next time.

I've heard that if you deep discharge the Odysseys, you're screwed. They could be brought back to life but you have to use some sort of special charge process. Google it, I know I've seen stuff on it before.

It's always smart to disconnect it when storing the car.

I think I will be keeping a spare full size battery in the trunk, and jumping myself off on my way to DGRR. I still have my warranty and there are Odyssey dealers in the south. Problem solved!

Fun fact: Driving the car 14+ hours recharged my COMPLETELY dead odyssey. It had enough to juice to run all my electronics problem free after like 8 hours of ~3K rpm driving.
