Hey guys, just finished installing an engine in an rx-7 and the guy says he has some hesitation in first and second gear at low rpm, like when he is getting off from a stop.

He says it hesitates a bit and it leans out on his AEM wideband, and as soon as the rpm rises, the car goes perfect.

Two things, there is one diffuser missing in one of the primary injector.

second, can it be a faulty primary injector?

i suppose it is one of the two, can the missing diffuser cause the fuel to atomise so bad that it would cause this hesitation? If not, can it be something else than a primary injector?

So your asking if we intentionally left out one of the injector diffusers would it hesitate? hummmmmm.................

You want me to tare apart my car, remove one diffuser, put it all back together & see?

Faulty primary injector? Do the fuel pump leak down test. It will tell you if one, or more, of your injectors are leaking into the engine, but that's about all.

Need more input...........................

Stock ecu?

Injectors cleaned during rebuild?

Could be a faulty or misadjusted TPS

 

didn't think about the tps, i'll look into it. power fc

basically what i was asking is are there people that are running without those diffuser and do they have problem?

injectors were not cleaned.

What i wanted to know is if anyone ever had that kind of symptom and if so, what was the problem if solved?
