do your vents always blow air?

I've had my new (2nd) FD for about 2 weeks now, and I've noticed that my vents always blow a small ammount of air all the time. Is this normal? I've gone from a '94 Touring to a '93 R1 and I never noticed this on my last car.

Also my airbox on my last car was busted and I 've never before heard the wooshing sound that I get when I accelerate. It's relatively loud. I'm assuming it's the airbox, I've never noticed it in my friend's FDs, but I just might have not been paying attention. I had a 4 hour each way drive this weekend, so I got to listen to my car alot

Just want to make sure everything is fine.

Thanks.

Bigred

If the a/c button is not pushed in (lit up) you will always get a little air when the car is moving. With the switch in, you should get nothing.

I'll check the A/C thing out. if that's the case I won't worry about it (not that I really did anyway).

Thanks for the quick response.

ya, what Lost_Time said. Also as far as your intake whoooshing sound, mine is quite loud on my 94 touring with Apexi Intake. Never heard it before with the stock airbox, but it is loud now under 1/3 - 2/3 throttle.

If the car isn't moving you shouldn't have any airflow. Maybe a trickle, unless you're facing a 60mph headwind.

All it is the cowl is open to outside air so air just flows through the cowl into the vents, you hit the recirc button and it closes the cowl up then you won't get any air in the cabin... thats why its called a VENT.
