Do you drive in the rain?

Do you RX-7 owners drive your cars in the rain? And if you don't, why?

Thanks!

make a poll , i personally dont because i dont like to drift in the FD and otherwise its no fun in the rain simply because you cant push i to its limits but mostly because i dont want to expose some of the unprotected metal to extra water and dirt. and i also have tires that are dry only and would not be so good in the rain. i have a few more but this is long enouf already

Never...I figure since i have a really nice 7 I don't want to get it dirty ...that and the idea of these cars being somewhat extinct makes me want to take care of it even more

Have only driven it a couple of times, but now that it's my daily driver, it will go through a full rainy season next winter.

I do have experience though, as I drove my 79 RX-7 through 4 years of Indiana and Michigan rain, sleet, and snow. Not as much power of course but the rear on that car loved to dance...

Mine's a daily drive so it gets plenty of polish and TLC at the weekends so that it feels sufficiently loved to transport me in style for the following week

Yup, it's my only car and we get plenty of rain here in Vancouver. Just watch out for those nasty painted lines and freshly laid asphalt. I spun my car while turning at an intersection (from a full stop) when I hit a patch of road that was recently paved. I believe it happened as I shifted into 2nd gear.

I try not to drive it in the rain. usually when it's raining it's in the garage and i take my other car out. I did have it out a couple of times and if you hit boost the back end can get out of control. nick

If I didn't drive my car in the rain, I would barely be able to drive it at all!

I do hate having to wash it afterwards though.

The rear end steps out quite often, especially in the rains that follow a long period of dryness.

I used to drive it in the rain because it used to be my daily driver but I bought an Explorer so I only drive the car on the weekends now.

I usually dont, it stays in the garage, but if push comes to shove and the car needs to be cleaned oh well.

Nope, don't drive it in the rain unless I get caught in a surprise storm.

That's what the daily beater is for...

However, as to why?

It's not that I don't trust myself or the car in the rain, I don't trust OTHER drivers in the rain.

one time i got caught in the rain driving home, it was dark and raining hard. SCARIEST THING IN MY LIFE. ill never do it again if i can help it, always check the weather before i go out now. the sun can be deceiving.

oh yes and i see that you said why,

well for one, i think my headlights are ****, and i could see like 2 feet infront of my car, and for some reason for the amount of rain that was falling it didn't seem like my wipers were going fast enoguh to keep things visible. and the all important fact that its rwd.
