Do The Stupid Newbie Teenage Questions Ever Stop!!!?!?
Stupid questions are easy to ignore, but they bump threads from people looking for serious help off the bottom of the page. How many people go through 2 or 3 pages of new responses looking for someone that needs help?
Maybe some mods need to sharpen the axe a little. It WAS a worse a while ago, before the "Common Sense" thread.
Everybody will come up with a question that seems stupid to someone else, just do a little research (SEARCH) and if you seriously can't find it, post.

My pet peeve: I don't have the money for the xxxxx turbos right now so I'm going to get these yyyyy turbos that are 500 bucks cheaper.
People, if 500 bucks is that much of a strain on your budget then there is no way in hell you're going to be able to buy and replace things necessary to support those mods (fuel systems, clutches, rear ends, motors, tuning, ect).

It's simple really, if you aren't going to help, don't post. Ignore the threads that don't interest you and they'll die sooner.
Unfortunately, we have more people here ready to give someone a hard time for either wanting to upgrade their BOV or add new seats to their car rather then helping other people with their problems. Not naming names, but you all know who you are.......
Help however is relative. Some one may need help with a boost problem, someone else may need help with an oversized tachometer install. Both are technical questions and both related to the FD. No matter how many people think that it's worthless to install and oversized tach, it shouldn't matter. If they need help, they need help. Where else should they go? This is an RX-7 forum.
I still can't understand why people get their panties in a knot when someone wants to do something to their FD that is "non-performance" related. I agree that if the people are running around with their turbos spewing a quart of oil every mile they don't need to spend their money on a set of rims.... (BTW, why to people get pissed when others update the stock BOV? They don't say anything about changing rims and the stock ones are fine....)
Many people are happy with the performance they have (whether stock or modified). IMO, most people jump to performance mods too soon. You'll see they spend thousands of dollars under the hood and you look at the interior and the seats are all torn up, panels pealing or scratched up, gauges all cloudy and nasty, etc... IMO, stuff like that is more important than how fast you go in a 1/4 mile. Unfortunately I'm in that same group (with torn up leather seats) and I'm embarrassed when people look inside my car currently. Thankfully I repainted my panels/dash over winter and seats are next after I fix my clutch.

Some of us don't start out posting stupid questions, at least I'd like to think that's the case.
I'm all for a quarantine (sp?) forum though, to which you would be deported for asking stupid questions, and in which the stupid questions would be answered by flaming sarcasm from senior members.

Well I'll tell you one thing, if anyone thinks this is the only forum were people start posting about the 1,000 horsepower 20B they're going to build 5 minutes after creating an account, think again.
Almost every week like clockwork, someone's popping up in the Advanced Tech area on the CamaroZ28.com forum with a post count of 5 and talking about the 1,000+ horsepower turbocharged 427 small block that they're going to build. And by the way, which rods and cam do they need, and what's the best muffler to use with that?

I just wish the posters of the new thread would just use a very descriptive title of what they are posting about. I hate vague titles and I waste too much time looking at the thread and find out it was a big waste of my time. A better description and then I can skip the stuff I'm not interested in or have no advice to contribute.

He went from a 4-rotor (said he was just kidding) to a T-78 on a 2-rotor to a single turbo 3-rotor in about a month.
I have to admit, though, that his nitrous fire story is a strong contender for the award for the biggest crock of **** ever posted in the Lounge...

Because his opinion is based on the tuning that his upgraded ecu provides. I've ran much more than 13psi on the street with no problems. As a matter of fact i ran 13psi on the stock IC for over a year with no problems
But it was with a PFC not a Pettit upgraded ecu.
That's the difference

I think it's kind of funny that the cost of entry into, the once exclusive, FD owners club has come down so low that 'uninformed' high school kids are getting their hands on them.
Many of them will be running home to mama when their motors blow and their lunch money and paper routes won't cover the $4k rebuild...
BTW, I saw some ricer with about $500 bucks in 'custom' decals on his Mazda mx-3? what a jackass.
