Do all front covers have bolts sticking out towards the driver side?

I'm trying to mount up a motor core to my engine stand and it doesnt seem to be mounting the way my other one does. It seems that there are 2 studs coming out of the driver side of the front cover that are getting in the way. Is there a different between 93 and 94 front covers? Does anyone have pics of thier front covers in their photobucket, pbase, etc account. Any info would be great.

are you mounting from the spark plug side or the intake/exht. side? sounds like youre mounting it on the spark plug side which is incorrect

I've always mounted it on this side. My engine stand holes seem to line up perfectly with bolts on the front plate. (see pic below) My other engine is currently in my car up at school but I'm guessing the 2 studs were removed before I received that core. If my method is incorrect what method do you guys use for mounting. I've used mine many times and it supported weight to the extents of the short block and tranny mounted togther without any trouble.
