Question Disconnect wiper motor?

I'm thinking about re-routing my winshield wiper sprayers to my frontmount intercooler on my 3rd rx7. The only problem is when you pull of the lever to spray water, the wipers automatically start wipping... I've looked at the fuses in hope that it would be two different fuses (one for the wiper motor and one for the sprayer motor), but this is not the case, it's just one fuse. Does anyone know of an easy way to disable the wiper motor?

Unplug it at the motor it's self. There is a harness right at the wiper motor just dissconnect it.

The motor is on the upper right side of the fire wall .

I am guessing ok,,,,, that the washer sprayers will not be a great enough volume to cool a heat soaked innercooler . If yes , everyone would have done this. It will require a good amount of water to cool that mass of heated material that is being heated as the compressed air is reheating the mass. My GUESS ONLY .

That very well may be true. I got the idea when I was at an autocross event last weekend (in my Galant VR4) and everyone was spraying down their intercoolers between runs. I then remembered that I don't currently have sprayers (after market carbon-fiber hood), so I figure why not put them to some use. I figure a little extra cooling is better than none.

isn't the center console switch for the japanese/european cars that have the attachment to spray clean the car head lights???

Maybe you could find that setup and then just move it infront of the intercooler...and use the center switch...

that way you don't loose your normal ones....just a thought

I have no headlight wipers (as far as I know, no rx7's have them), but good idea.

Donovan or duboisr, would it be asking too much for one of you to send me a picture of what to disconnect? I looked, but I'm not sure what's what. Thanks!

Your washer fluid tank is exposed to the elements, its on the outside of the car behind the fron driverside wheel well. I dont think that using THAT water as your water source would be a good idea. The water comming out of there will probably be hot, put that on a hot IC with hot air running through the IC, and you get bad news. If you want, get yourself that oh-so wierd Nitrus Express IC cooler that uses condensed air to cool the IC. I just dont think using the windsheild wiper stuff would work very well. Just my thoughts.

Sorry no camera .Do you know where the garfinkle torque brace goes ,the motor is behind that on the fire wall. open the hood and turn the wipers on and then find the motor. the plug is attached .

then move the tank somewhere else, it's not that hard and this is a great idea. I'm going to do this myself also. The new lancer evo's have stock sprayers for their FMIC's......why not me?

Open the hood and look at the car from the front. On your left on the fire wall there is a black motor about the size of a soda can bolted to the firewall. look at the motor and there should be some wires comming out of it with a plastic plug on the end. Just unplug the wires.
