Digital Dashes

Hi,

Am looking to buy a digital dash for my Link ecu (not fitted yet) but wondered if you could just rip out the existing clocks and use a Link Strada screen ? Will it do all the functions?

Do you guys who have digital dashes do this with something like this https://www.motorsport3d.com.au/prod...40607624429740 ? Or in removing the clocks certain functions won't work?

Interested in seeing any pics of digital dashes for those who have them.

Thanks
Gareth

The link Strada dash, is a 5" AIM MXS dash. A friend of mine has that one installed and i have found it to be a little small for the FD.
I believe Link has introduced the MXG 7" variant also as part of their lineup.
i decided to get a 10" variant from AIM and i think the size is more appropriate, maybe a little too big.

As for the functions, it will take quite a bit of tinkering to have all the street/everyday functions that dont run through the ECU.
the biggest challenge will be the accurate measurement of the fuel level.

There is a math channel you can set up in the racestudio or you would need a signal conditioner. On my car i have used the Iron Canyon motorsports fuel sender signal conditioner
1990-1997 Mazda Miata Alignment Tool Assembly and Use (naroescapemotorsports.com)
but as far as i know Iron Canyon Motorsports is no longer around. I could be wrong

i use a Surface Pro 2 running Windows 10 with my Link. love it. i log through it just like if i were to still have my laptop onboard. dirt cheap. totally flexible. it is the smaller screen and fits in a small metal channel below my radio. since it has a magnet to attach the keyboard it securely attaches to the metal channel. i have a velcro dot on the back so it is easy to remove after a session. i then generally download the data to my laptop.
