'99 spec signal lamp question

I noticed that the '99 lamps I own have a rubber piece located in the back between the signal and parking lamps. Another set I'm buying doesn't have that rubber piece. Mine are also grey in the back and not black. Does anyone know why they are different?

Mine:

Also, is the "STANLEY P0234L & P0234R" imprint the only way to determine if the lamps are fake are not?

I understand that they are real (I bought 2 sets). But what explains that rubber piece I have on the set I have?

Are the ones you have with the seals original 99 spec OEM lights? If they are, then maybe the ones with the stanley print on it are replica's that dont have the seal.

Yes, the lamps I have on my FD (first picture) are OEM. I was just wondering if they removed that rubber piece on the newer '99 lamps.

Re-opening an old thread here I know but I just wondered if anyone had discovered the answer to this? I have just bought 2 brand new lights direct from Mazda and they have a black rear frame and just a short cut condensation hose, where as my old ones have the grey frame and the rubber chamber with the plastic piece inside them. When i check the part numbers, they all look to be the same in the different year part catalogue.
