Different versions of BNR turbo?

I recently purchased a used set of the BNR turbos and upon some research, it seems like there are 2 versions of these turbos - one needing modification to th y-pipe and one without. If this is true, how do tell before actually doing the install? Also, I have the efini y-pipe.

Thanks,

Well Bryan only sells the stage 3 version now which requires modification to the y pipe.

I'd say your best bet would be to mount a dummy y-pipe (do you still have your stock one?) onto the pair of BNRs you got. If the two sides mount up fine, and the o-ring fits in as deeply as it's meant to, forming a good seal, than I'd say you're in the clear with modding your y-pipe.

If they don't than cut and add an extra 1/4 inch to the front pipe.

If you got a pair that doesnt require you to lengthen the Y-Pipe then you might have an older version. To the best of my knowledge any of the newer models require your y-pipe to be lenghtened.
