Diff/LSD options and ?'s
So pretty much after tracking my car over the weekend the stock FD torsion diff was not up to the task at hand. I need something that is more aggressive I would prefer a 2way.
My original idea was to go with a Kaaz or ATS unit but after talking to a few FC guys over the weekend I now have more questions.
It was brought to my attention that the S4 TII diff out of a 2nd Gen is a clutch type diff. They told me that they had heard of Fd guys packing the S4 TII diffs with more clutches thus creating a more aggressive diff during accel and decel. Also that you would need to gut the FD housing and use the S4 TII internals.
If anyone has any information on this that would be great. I searched and didn't find much.
Also if you have any other ideas for diff options im open to the idea. I would even consider a welded if there was one that would fit in the FD pumpkin and be worth actually welding it. If been told that the welded torsion units don't last very long and aren't really worth all the work.
Thanks Derek

It seemed like anything under 80% throttle the car would want 2 straighten or stop spinning a wheel and this was in the rain. Also the car didnt want to transition off throttle just push.
This is for Drifting but that doesnt matter what matters is that the diff stay locked.
Really im just looking for some insite on the S4 TII diff because that could possibley save me money for other things i need.

The S4 TII Diff will replace the torsen diff in a Fd. Swap out your ring gear onto the TII diff. The torsen Diff is a torque bias diff and will let the rear tires coast on decell, a TII diff is a locker type and will be the cheapest, easiest to get what you want. If this a drift only car, go after market

I have an RE Amemiya differential that will fit your application if you like, I'm going to start drag racing the car so I'll be selling it soon. Let me know if you're interested.
