Thumbs up Did the fuel filter relocation.

Me and Ryan (Dont_be_a_rikki) spent the whole saturday working on our 7s. Here is the list of everything we did to my car:

Fuel Filter relocated
Reset the idle screws
Adjusted my E brake because you had to pull the handle up almost 20 clicks
Found my freon leak
Noticed that my front swaybar braces were bent so we bent them back
Spayed WD40 on my drivers door handle because it was sticky.
Adjusted my midpipe so it didn't rattle against my car

The fuel filter wasn't that hard since the car was up on a lift... Just a pain. The new fuel filter went in a snap. On the drive home I noticed a little more fuel smell than normal but there is no leaks. I will see if that dies down in a week or so. The car has run a lot smoother though and no more stalling.

Also test fitted a wing on my car... what do you guys think:

K&N billet aluminum filter with 5/16" barbs.

It is washable and reusable, holds up to 6000psi, and filters down to 10 microns.

Cost me 50$

Sounds like you 2 had fun and got alot accomplished!

Personally I think the wing is a little too much since the rest of the exterior is stock.

If anyone is looking to relocate their fuel filter, I have the filter and necessary fittings for sale. I bought them, but decided not to use them. Drop me a pm if you are interested.

I'd be real interested in seeing a pic of your relocated K & N fuel filter. The wing looks good!

That was my first thought as well. I'm looking to buy the C-West kit like the one in your avitar by the end of the summer. I might stick it on before that, who knows.

The wing looks fine. The car looks good. It's a nice clean look. Don't mess it up with a lot of add on junk.

The leak was on a line going to the compressor. When your standing at the nose of the car there is a line comming out from the right and from behind the compressor. The one to the right of the compressor was leaking. You couldn't tell one bit until we got the freon detector out. I think the O ring in that fitting is bad so I will replace then try. Next time your under you car look around for a freon stain, looks like a yellowish residue. I saw this on the back of my plastic under gaurd so I had a general direction to look in.

You just replaced the old fuel filter with a line? 5/16 I am guessing? Did you have to clamp that replacement line as well?

I think you got the mini K&N filter, there is a larger one for automotive use right? Are both safe to use on our cars?
