Question Diameter for '99 rear sway bar?

Does anyone have the '99 rear sway bar Mazda Comp. sells? What's the diameter (i.e. 15, 17, 19mm etc.)?

I have a '94 Touring with the 15mm bar. I used to have the Racing Beat rear bar but bent it getting sideways too often. The car felt better with it though.

Eibach Comp Rr Sway Bar OD is 19 mm

I've set mine to its stiffest setting. No problems with the Eibach bar bending. I believe they are solid as opposed to tubular (correct me if I'm mistaken), based on the comparitive weights of the stock vs. Eibach bar.

Probably cheaper to go with Eibach (or ST or whatever) than buying OE Mazda '99 FD sway bar anyway...

Yeah, I've been thinking of going with the Eibach kit. It's backordered until March/April though. How was the fit & finish? Do the polyurethane bushings squeak? The one's on the RB bar were awful, even with tons of lithium grease.

I think I want to stick with the stock front bar. I have the RB and Mazda Comp. braces as well as the Mazdatrix heim joint end links and the front end feels good (strut tower brace, H&R springs, & HD Bilsteins too). I don't think I want more understeer. I just want the rear end to be a little stiffer. I have HD Bilsteins, H&R's, and Ground Control's toe and trailing links back there already. It felt awesome with the RB bar.

The '99 rear bar is only $92. I'll probably just get the 19mm R1 bar from my local Mazda dealer. Thanks.

Polyurethane bushings. Rear bushings were too short, and I had to glue part of the old rubber bushing onto the new bushing to make up the difference. No sway bar stops like with the RBs so you have to make your own. The stops keep the sway bar from moving side-to-side under cornering. If you don't install stops, you'll break the delicate rear sway bar end links. They squeaked at first, but has mysteriously disappeared;and I applied no grease to mine??

I had the same problem with the bushings being too short with mine also. I used aluminum to shim them to the correct height.
