Diagnosing A/F gauge.. bad o2 Sensor?
Hey guys. Recently my A/F meter is showing about 7-10 bars lit up when I am on the throttle as compared to the 1-2 it used to before. This just started this week but I have not changed anything recently. My guess is the O2 sensor is possibly bad, but it's not throwing the check engine light which I would have expected. Would this be the symptom of a gone-bad O2 sensor? Thanks.

I'm a CF and poop smith
Same exact thing happened to mines, I have no idea what it is but my car is driving just fine. You should not be relaying on a A/F ratio gauge to tune your car btw

Stay away from WOT. It could be bad on the engine.
I had one engine grenade on me when I was pumping
the gas in the burn-out box at the drag strip. In fact stay away from the second turbo. Until you change the sensor.
The O2 did not have a reading and so the ecu did not know how much gas to add... and boom. Lost 2 apex seals.

I tried checking engine codes just to see if I had missed seeing the light but no codes were stored. What is a good replacement single wire O2 sensor? Anyone have a part # handy? Thanks.

Is the Bosch the same as the Ford Escort O2 sensor?
I find with my O2 sensor now it takes a while after shutting down to get to temp.... Is this a sign it's starting to go kaput?

Could be your gauge. My autometer has done the same thing for a while now, and I thought it could be the way it is supposed to work, until I saw a few other people's and saw they only 1 or 2 lines. But a couple weeks ago a friend bought a new one for his car, and before he put it in I hooked it up in mine and drove around the block. The new one only had 1 or 2 bars, so apparently it is the gauge in my case. I just have to get a new one now. Something for you to consider.

No, this is not the same as the Escort. The escort part #, at NAPA, is OS204.
I am have the same problem even though I have changed my O2 sensor...?????
