Is this Detonation?

Ok guys. I may sound like a fool, but i know very little on tuning and less on the PFC that i just installed one month ago.

Here is my problem. I had the PFC tuned on a dyno and the max knocking levels i had on the commander with 0.9bar was 15-20. Now i just installed a cusco twin plate clutch with its lightweight flywheel, and the knocking levels with 0.9 in 3rd gear goes up to 66. Is this too much or within limits?

My though is that by changing the flywheel the load of the engine changed and i will need to tune the car again. Is this correct?

Any help would be appreciated.

the knock probably went up because the new clutch and fly is vibrating and causing some noise that the sensor is picking up. It would seem your normal knock is now 60 so if it goes into the 100s then worry about it.

try asking the guys in the engine managment forum. they will be better suited to answer your questions.

do some searches on the knock sensor as it seems that it is not very accurate and picks up things like vibrations, like Fritz said, from anything attached to the engine. even bad motor mounts are said to increase knock levels.

i dont even pay attention to my pfc knock sensor anymore. It is basically a pointless reading.

If the engine was knocking you would probably be needing a rebuild.

Thanks for your replies guys. I will have the car tomorrow morning checked. Although i don't think that it is caused by vibrations since it is normal 15-20 until 7k rpm's with 3rd gear at 0.9bar only. When i have it at 0.6bar then its normal.

Your car is fine. Don't worry about it until it gets above 80. Mine is under 20 and sometimes goes to 30. It went to 100 when my fuel filter was clogged.
