I'd be interested to hear if anyone has had recent experience with getting one made by Defined.

I have it sitting in my basement waiting to be installed. Can't comment on the fitment obviously but the parts look to be well made.

I just mocked up the kit on my car this weekend, the intercooler and radiator are good quality, also having the ducting and brackets are nice but keep in mind that when you are modifying your car be prepared to make modifications haha.

so far I've had to adjust the brackets and trim and adjust the ducts. I still need to figure out how I'm going to route the oil cooler, power steering and A/C.

I was quoted 4-6 weeks for delivery, it took around 9 weeks for me to get the kit from defined.

overall I'm happy with the kit, it seems to be one of the better quality kits for the price. just keep in mind that every car is a little bit different.

These are known to be long-wait, high-quality kits. Kindof like rotary extreme.

I would give the Greddy vmount kit a look. Got one from RHDJapan.com for a great price with the favorable USD-Yen conversion.

does anyone know if the dual oil cooler lines need rerouted with this (or any other vmount).

I'm piecing together a kit and wondering if I can get the stock lines, or need to spring the extra $ for stainless line and run my own.

I think it depends on what fan you get.

Thanks for the pics man.

I was planning on using the stock fans, so it looks like I might be better off with my own lines.

I have this kit. I prefer it over all other kits mainly because of the side plates. My only complaint about the kit is that the lower radiator neck hangs VERY low to the ground (3.5" on stock suspension). I have been running it fine for quite some time now, but I finally sent the car to a friend of mine to have the V-mount reworked with a differently angled lower radiator neck to allow for more ground clearance. I am also having him refabricate the whole setup to raise it up as much as possible.

I have even had a few comments from people driving in front of me that they can see in their rear-view mirror that something is hanging down pretty far on my car.

Other than that, no further complaints. It WORKS. I have a hard time getting the car up to operating temperature sometimes lol. Also, I am using the stock fans.

It's been a great kit for my car but I'm changing my setup up. Time to sell it!

Anyone have pics of how low it hangs fully mounted? Little concerned about having so etching that low that could dump all coolant if hit.

I got the kit installed, and for the time spent to make it fit properly I almost could have made my own. None of the rad hoses fit or anything, I ended up TIG welding a tube to the lower rad. outlet because with the hoses supplied+some new ones I had to buy the bottom end of the hose was the lowest part of the car (!!!)
I cut the lower rad mount tabs off and re-welded them at a more suitable angle, cut and fitted the ducting, widened the mounting holes for the intercooler (quite much) etc. Be prepared...
Other than this, the build quality on the parts etc is good. I think I might have gotten a "monday blues" kit. But see my example as a worst case scenario.. haha.

It sits pretty low when using it with a 93 bumper with non r1 lip. However, if you're running a body kit, it will sit higher than majority of the aftermarket bumpers. It will sit higher than a 99 bumper with lip too.
