Definately Approve Of The RB Dual Tip

So my aftermarket exhaust that I had on my 93 when I bought it (ractive racing exhast welded onto custom 2.5" piping) had broken it's exhaust hanger, so I figured I'd use this chance to upgrade to a racing beat dual tip exhaust. I had heard a lot about it and was definately looking into getting one. So I ordered the kit and it promptly got to my house a week later. Racing beat I have to say was great in getting it to me and was also good in answering any questions I had about the install. The kit installed pretty easy (I was doing the install myself) with the exception of having to balance the exhaust canister on my elbow while I connected it to the connecting pipe and the bushings and trying to pry a torque wrench onto the bolts that connect the connecting pipe to the cannister . Not knowing what to expect when I started it, I was amazed as to how quiet it was even with the 3k warmup. So I took it out on the road. I have to say, I'm really impressed with this exhaust, I was grinning pretty much the entire drive. The exhaust is pretty damn quiet, even at WOT, but it feels like it pulls like a demon now, the turbos spool a hell of a lot faster, I also notice the primary turbo spools to 11psi now as opposed to the stock 10 I had and transition into secondary spikes to 12psi (will need to deal with this with a pfc soon). Guess I'll have to lay off the heavy duty driving.

I know some of you guys are runnin some pretty high hp numbers, so this is probably pretty crappy to those standards, but hell, figured I'd post anyways.

I guess this pretty much sums it up:

Me to girlfriend in car:

Me: damn, I love this thing, what do you think
GF: yeah it is damn nice, feels a lot faster, think I left my stomach on the road about a half mile back though
Me: yeah, well, I got somethin to tell you
GF: what?
Me: I never put my foot my foot to the floor
GF: what?
Me: I've been on half throttle the entire time, hold oo, I'm gonna floor it
GF: Wait........
(I floor it for 5 seconds, then back off)
(GF slaps me)
Me: what the hell was that for?
GF: I hit my head on the seat

Definately mad props to Racing Beat.

Get rid of that 3,000 rpm warm up. Here's how: start the car with the shift in 1st gear (and the clutch in, of course...you have to do that. ) The 3k warmup causes needless wear on your engine. Mazda programmed it in there to meet cold start emission standards.

This is just making me want to switch to an RB dual tip even more.

Glad you had a good experience with RB shipping your exhaust right away. A friend of mine ordered one of their exhausts for a miata about a month ago and he didn't get it for 3 weeks. There excuse was that autox season had started and they were really busy.

Anyways, congrats on the purchase

odd question but does the mid pipe on your car go over or under that cross member bar thing?

i'm having a devil of a time trying to get the exhaust system together if it does fit under neath it because i can't get the mid pipe to reach the hanger that's right there reguardless what i do, not to mention the exhaust seems like it would hit the ground rather easily if it were sitting that low.

I've been running with a RB dual tip for four years and I think it's the best catback out there. It looks stock, doesn't sound rice, and it flows very well.

If you're talking about the bar that's like 10-12 inches long, The exhaust goes on top (towards ceiling) not under it.

I am running it on a single turbo with no resonator and it is still quiet, very deep bass tone not the high pitch ricer sound, but at WOT I cant really tell you how loud it is since my wastegate is vented to the atmosphere so all I here is the wastegate open...I love it though..

i do.
the rb is my second exhaust. had the n1 dual first which was way too loud. The rb is quietier however it still screams when in secondary boost comes on. I should have some clips of me on the dyno soon for you to hear.
However i was told that the RB is more restrictive then some of the other exhausts on the mkt so i may sell mine.

I got the RB dual tip diractly from Racing Beat. It set me back about $520 or so. Might be a bit pricey I guess but it was worth it. I know I promised pics guys, but I just found out my gf's digital camera got broken, will work on getting pics up next weekend, sorry about that.
