Defi Guages

Alright I have a Defi Boost guage I have been trying to install, I have it up and have a question. Where does the hose go, I know through the gasket around the steering wheel, but then where, I know to the manifold the nipple that has a rubber thing on it, but in the instructions it has a T bracket thing and says the hose also goes somewhere else. Where does it go, I can't find it?

Don't worry about the T. The hose goes from the manifold nipple to the gauge itself, or the gauge's sender if it's electric.

Alright is this correct, I ground the black wire to something and attach the white wire to the ashtray which is a harness with 2 red and black wires by tapping into one of the wires, does it matter which?

i just grounded mine to the firewall, on one of the bolts that holds the steering column on. then i took the other wire and tapped it into one of my dash lights. it keeps the wires nice and short

If you tap into your dash lights...the gauge will only work when the running/parking lights or the headlights are on! I have to rewire mine as this was done by the original owner. No biggie, I think I'm going to goi with the ashtray myself. I think the Profec-B will be fine. Shouldn't have any power problems or anything.

It is a D-guage, so tap into a dash light?

by tapping into the dash light you are keeping the wires short and ensuring that the backlight for the gauge only comes on when you turn on your parking/driving lights.

ground on the firewall.

dont run the tube through the steering column as it is just sloppy. The best way to go (in my opinion) is to drill a hole through the firewall between the clutch/brake pedals. It is concealed by the carpet and will allow you to run other things to the engine bay w/o ripping up that rubber gasket around the steering column.

just my $.02

Alright any pics of what wire to tap into, I have the whole dash off replacing heater core and I have freaking wires everywhere. I don't exactly have any clue whatsoever what wire I'm tapping into.
