Arrow dash lights dont work..help

at night when i go to turn the lights on ....dash will not light up...

just the back lights that illuminate the dash dont work

its slit showing speed rpm temp
warning lamps work
signals work


i took the dash out every thing was hooked up in the back
whent ower the bulbs they look ok...

paying with the dimmer switch dont make any difference..

Is the dimmer defiantly plugged in? If you remove your head unit you should be able to feel it. This would cause them to not work.

So your headlights come on, but the dash lights do not, correct? What about your taillights, do they work too?

Check your fuses 1st and if that's not the problem might check the wires that are in the your blinker/headlight/brights lever on the left side of the steering wheel.

dimmer switch is pluged in ...

correct...
yea head lights work
high and low beems work fine
signals work no problems
brake light work...

i checked fuses they look ok
i have the ones that light up when they brake as i replaced all of them

when the dash was conected and i was playing with dimmer switch it made no difference

i have aftermarket cd player and all lights work on it bright no problem ...-not conected to dimmer

i have conecters for fog light but no fog light hooked up
no problems with cigarrett lighter plug

i checked the conectors wires in the back of the dash it looks like they are getting power ...

am i missing anything?????....i will check if reverse lights come on

I would seriously check the wires coming out of the blinker lever. Turn your lights on and then play with the wires coming out from that lever to see if there is a short or a break in those wires. See if the dash lights even flicker on/off you know that's the problem.

If that is not it, you can get a wire tester and test the wires to see if they are getting power.

i will tray the blinker lever wires first thing in the morning ...

if that dont work

is there a diagrem of the wires showing ones with + or - or voltage

Yes, grab the wiring diagram from the tech manual directory and test the connections with a multi meter.

Happen to me in my old car. Faulty dimmer switch was the reason.

yep it was dimmer...chacked everthing voltage was good every where...got the dimmer switch from a member here.... works like a charm....

good way of telling that its a dimmer switch would be...

when you turn your head light on bulb in the dimmer wont light up ...
