well let me tell u, fri. nite i was pullin out from a local meeting place where me and friends meet every fri. nite.
wen i was pulling out of the shopping center i saw a cop next to the park looking for people still there, anyways he happen to see me and imediately pulled a bitch(u turn) and flashed his lights at me. I was like ****!!!!! i didnt even go 10 ft and already he pulled me over. u know wut his reason was ??????? that i had red lights for parking lite!!!!!!and a loud exhaust!!!!!!!!!!wut an idiot!!!!!!!! he wastryin to be mr hard to me and my gurl. but the thing that really pissed me offf is that he put the exhaust as a fix-it and the lights not correctable!!!!!!!!! i was like are u KRAZY!!!!!!!??????
i hate them all, but he doesnt pull over a mustang with ****** loud AZZZ flow busters or wutever!!!!!!! ******** was written all over his fore head!!!!!

Not to be disrespectful to you. But many times the police treat you the way you treat them. Now I have never been happy to get a ticket, but mostly they weren't wrong. Yes some officers are dicks, just like some clerks, some lawyers, some rx7 drivers. But many are decent individuals and yes they overall do deserve respect. No I am not a cop or son of a cop.

 

I agree. Accept the responsibility of modding your car.

Rotoboy, I hear ya. I've had them pull out and tail me and give me the blip and then drive by. I have loud exhaust, a front mount and racing stripes and harnesses. They are dicks, and I do understand your position. I have also had cops pull or walk up and ask me about the car. They are cool cops. And then most cops just ignore me unless I do something stupid. They are normal cops. I wasn't arguing that the cop who fucked your **** up wasn't an *** or unfair, perhaps he was. I am just saying don't label them all that way. And I was also saying that your attitude to and respect for cops can save you from tickets at times.

 

i have seen stock cars get tickets, **** i got a ticket for tinted rear taillights (which we all know are stock tinted) as well as modified suspension for my stock worn 93 suspension!!! some times cops just do pull you over for **** like this. just get use to it

on another note, i have meet some hella nice cops, most are in my car club (their the fastest drivers haha), but they are far and few between.

 

Most imports get fucked with because it's mostly imports that line the streets at 3AM illegally streetracing and posting videos all over the place.. Every Civic I see JUST HAS TO ******* floor it everytime there an oppertunity to be "noticed".. It's pure fact.

Yes Harleys are loud, but most of the owners are very calm, cool dudes and gals... I hardly see them doing 3rd gear dumps on the highway to EVERY car trying to get them to race.. Occasionally I see a Mustang or Camaro even a Corvett acting up... But 99 percent of the time it's the IMPORTS... Which mazda is. It's something you have to live with. I've been through it too... many times.

 

I agree that the ricers have screwed it up for the rest of us, but what does this have to do with 3rd Gens?

Hey not all officers are bad people. I resent that. Thats like saying all rx7s are unreliable and POS. Or that ALL teenagers are unresponsible and don't deserve to own an FD. You are going to have a very hard life if you think like that. Please don't label ALL officers as bad people because you had one or two bad experiences. There are plenty of honest, hard working, decent officers out there. And there are plenty of bad officers out there that give the rest of us bad names and images. If you treat ALL officers badly and talk bad about them it may come back to bite you in your ***. Who knows you might get pulled over one day for a legit reason and the officer ends up being respectful. And YOU thinking that ALL officers are bad give him a hard time, he might just give you the ticket instead of just a warning. Trust me I know first hand about this. I will also admit that imports do get more attention from officers why? One alot of the imports do have loud exhaust systems and that does attract alot of attention. And two alot of the imports (not all) are driven by young adults who lately have been doing alot of stupid senseless street racing acts hurting not just themselves but others. I'm not saying all teenagers are comitting these senseless acts, just a bad hand full. What I'm saying is that they are bringing the attention to them selves. If they don't want to get harassed for an excessively loud exhaust then switch to a lower db exhaust system. (FYI there are cities with excessive noise violation codes and exhaust systems fall under that therefore officers have every right to enforce that law). Now think of this.....would it be fair for me to treat every teenager I pull over like sh@# because a teenager last week ran into a vehicle with a family in it killing the mother and father while street racing? No right...? It just doesn't make sense to think like that. I'm just posting my opinion, hope I didn't step on anyones toes. If you haven't already figured it out, I'm a police officer. I consider myself a fair respectful officer who treats others with respect IF they deserve it. I also coincidentally own a FD. Thanks...Tony
