I believe the feedback system refers to the readings from the O2 sensor when it's in closed loop mode. I've seen this error on my car when the O2 sensor died, but it was accompanied by another error that was specific to the O2 as well.

Not reading the right air/fuel mixture, dumoing to much/not enough gas.

Yeah, but like I said I've never seen that error without the other O2 sensor error at the same time. Start with the O2 and ECU reset, if the problem doesn't go away try swapping in a known good ECU from a friends car. Good luck.

You can try unplugging your O2 sensor and reset the computer to see if that fixes it. This will keep the computer in closed loop running off of maps. I have been running on my stock ecu for the last 2 years with no sensor, it will hurt your gas mileage on the highway and if you cruise below i think 3,200 rpm for an extended period of time your check engine light will come on, but will go away next time you start your car. It would be a good thing to try to see if your car runs any better, it will only take a few seconds to unplug it just behind the manifold.

There are 2 different Bosch Universal Sensors that will work with our cars, one is heated and one is not. You will need to splice in the connector though. Also the sensor from an 86 Ford Escort will work too. Cost for these is $35-$50, compared to $200+ for the stock sensor.

The codes are stored and maybe causing the car to go into limp home mode. Reset the ECU and see how it goes.
