My turbos are smoking profusely when I'm idle for longer than 2/3 minutes on startup. When I drive the car, when I hit about 3,500 to 4,000 rpms. I can hear my crv leaking air.

I personally, think that one of my turbos is bad, not spooling. So when Im making full boost, the air cannot pass through the turbo fast enough, and is being directed out through the CRV due to over built pressure. When I boost the car and let off the gas and just coast, right after boosting, a small plume of blue smoke comes from the exaust.

The car is idleing at 1,500 rpms right now....

When I turn the car on, if I pop the hood and shine a light near the primary turbo I can see smoke coming from it. I think the secondary turbo is bad possibly. I cant really check because of where its located

 

That sucks. BNR upgrades would be a nice replacement

 

These turbos have 1000 miles on them...

These were the Bi-State ones, correct? I thought Resource was willing to give you a warrantee, no?

We gave him a warranty. If his turbos are infact bad they would be our first. We'll honor our warranty. No ifs, ands, buts about it.

sorry to hear that...I don't think there is any easy fix besides pullin the turbo out and taking another look....

 

back to the good ol 300e turbo diesel

Eric, you are not a fabricator. I don't understand why that's in your profile, And Eric Does not Own Bi-state in case somebody thought that. Eric will work on your car though, and he does know what he is doing. Just clearing up some craziness.
