what do you guys think? if it was anywhere else i wouldnt worry about it but with it being so close to the apex seal groove, it has me wondering if its usable. the pictures are accurate of how it looks in person.
if all the grooves are ok, i would clean that up and use it. i'd measure all the other grooves first, if that is the only thing wrong, you're ok. if there are other things wrong, then another rotor looks good
It's not perfect but it's useable. I would run a file or something over it to make sure there's no metal that's sticking up and that there's no sharp hot spots.
I would also make sure the apex seal groove didn't get bent out of shape, the new seal should easily move up and down and not bind.
Get some small files and see if you can clearance it. The damage on the face won't affect it. Don't forget to check the side seal and corner seal clearances.
thank you guys, i appreciate it very much. had it of been anywhere else on the face it wouldnt matter to me but with it being so close to the groove, i just had to ask and be sure.
