All weather vehicle cover for FD3S?

Hello,

I recently purchased a FD3S here in Okinawa. Unfortunately, I have a house with an outdoor garage that does not have any roof. I'm concerned about the weather here in Okinawa, mainly sunlight and typhoon. I plan to purchase a vehicle cover right for my car but so far having difficulties finding one online. May I have some suggestion where to look for one?

Thank you

v/r

They list multiple options, and I’ve never had a bad transaction with them. You can message and find out about international shipping...

SBG is a great option. I am personally using a California outdoor duty car cover for mainly your purpose, rain/sun but it has also seen snow. It has been excellent in the last 3 years.

I have a California Car cover Ultraweave and it is great. A ton of different configurations so make sure you get the proper one. Mine fits like a glove. It takes a month or more because they custom make each order but its worth the wait. Any nice cover is gonna run run you $300USD or more.

Basically any cover aint gonna last through a typhoon mate. Even that last little one we had earlier this year. Unless it's the most form fitting thing, you dont have a wing, and you strap it down from under the car at multiple points, it's not gonna have a chance. And if it is a great quality car cover and you do strap it down perfectly around your car, heaven help you if a gust finds its way under. We've all seen typhoons move cars around here.
Park it somewhere out of the way or covered, or park facing into the prevailing winds keeping in mind you might have to spin it around after the eye passes. If you have a high mount wing, take it off.
Wash the car afterwards. No big deal. Sucks for things flying around, though. But, comes with the territory out here.

yea.... big N O. no car cover is going to make it through a typhoon. i literally tired lol. i roped and zip tied my all weather cover to my FD while i was there is ripped it off. my solution was to park in the koza garage a few floors up until the typhoon passed. it would end up being 30-50$. well worth the safety. i covered the car once it was parked in the garage. didnt have to but i did anyway.

I had the sakebombgarage weathershield HP from 2015 to 2020.

- perfect fit
- perfect hydrophobic behaviour... the 2 first years. After that, it disappeared for ever
- quick drying
- very low moist... the two first years. After that I had to pay attention and remove it from car during humid periods to avoid too much humidity under cover between 2 rainy days
- slight sun color fade (I had a grey one) after 3 years. The covers suffered during summer. I guess the car suffered less thanks to that.

I guess there is no perfect outdoor cover.

I get that they’re outdoor covers. But seems like it would be hard to find any cover that would last more than a few years with continual 24/7 use out in the elements.
No personal experience with them. But a good friend used to buy the best boat covers every few years...until he built a garage for his boats.
