You MAY be able to get it to seal up properly to the block. If not you'll have a vacuum leak there which can be a bitch to track down and a bitch to get to.
Used primary rails are a dime a dozen, I'd just get another one.

He was using an aftermarket set up for his secondaries. Your options are to use whatever fitting that is tapped for and adapt it to your secondary rail or buy another primary rail. The factory fitting is an oring and with those threads it will not seal. Even if you wanted to go with an oversize ring, it just won't seal. That primary rail you bought isn't usable with a stock fitting. Whoever you bought it from should have mentioned that it was threaded.
