custom support for alt bracket?

has anyone or does anyone make a custom support to hold up the alternator for those of us that have eliminated power steering and a/c? i don't like the idea of having to bolt on that huge piece of aluminum.

sounds like the word is that the alt bracket can support the alternator with just the 1 bolt going through the water pump. interesting?
