custom ss filter idea

ok i have an idea for my custom intake. for those of you who have done it or know your ****, if i can get two SS filters from HKS, could i custom fabricate the intake just like people do with the K&N ? with the heat shield and everything? has it been done, would it be easy? i'm looking for a little input before i go for it.

Its just a peice of plastic, and i piped my BOV through the bottom of it with a 90 degree elbbow. Its pretty sweet

ok, here's the idea. how about those stainless steel filters, with THIS type of heat shield. can it be done easily? how ? would it work well?

That intake looks great but you majorly screw yourself if you want to upgrade your intercooler.

Put it on the bottom

This is Blitz SS intake on my car. Put the shield on the bottom. It seems to work pretty good.
