I got mine from corksport.com. It was quick and definitely worth the money $135 or so.

Is there a significant differance between the cusco D shape and the oval shaft strut bar, or is it the apperance only, also the brace connector looks a bit different other than colour, anybody know??

from what I see from the little pics from the rx7 store is that the D shape one looks a little more sturdier, but its 5bux less than the oval???

D-Bar is supposedly stronger and better looking than the oval shaft. but the weird thing is, at the RX-7 Store, the D-Bar is less expensive than the oval shaft, but from RP, the D-Bar is more expensive.

i have not seen the D-Bar in person, only the oval shaft version, so i cant comment on which one looks better.

you will see the biggest benifit of a STB at the autocross curcuit. the side to side transitions cause strut tower flex, and the bar will hold everything tightly in place.

the first uses a D shaped bar. the second one uses an oval shape bar. hence the names.

I have the oval shaft, it's great. I like the fact that the shaft is pretty flat so it doesn't rub the hood or anything below it at all.

It makes the front end feel more solid and flex less not just in turns but more when you bump into something like a pothole. Without it, a pothole feels like it sinks one of the wheels. Also, when you do turn on a banked surface (as in when you enter or exit a freeway), the strut bar feels like it holds the tires straighter. Obviously, the bar doesn't actually do that but I think by keeping the body tighter, the wheels deflect less when in turn.

I can't say for the 7s but when I put one on my 1G eclipse I was shocked. It really made a noticeable differance. When you make a fast manuver, it just feels like the car stabalizes much sooner. For the suspension, It has got to be the best bang for the buck.

I have the JIC strut bars in stock, both aluminum and carbon fiber for the FD front and rear. Also have the Lower Arm Bar for the front of the FD.

Prices are great, PM or e-mail me if you're interested. They are D shape in the front and a Round in the rear. THese bars are race proven and look identical to the CUSCO.

autornd@hotmail.com

Also have the full coilover sets arriving as well. List price is $1800.00 call for forum/racernet pricing.

Thanks, rishie
