CA Current State of Titanium Exhausts and V-Mounts

So after abusing the search function over the last few days, I've come to the conclusion that most of the information out there is old or incomplete or I just really suck at searching .

My stock twins have started leaking oil, so it's time for an upgrade. I figured since I'm going single, I will do other upgrades at the same time, which leads to looking for a exhaust (catback, midpipe), and V-mount being in the mix.

What I've been looking for with no success:
1) is there a titanium exhaust that is a straight back from the downpipe instead of the usual mide-pipe and cat-back?
2) if no, is there someone who makes a titanium mid-pipe?
3) who makes the best v-mount kit for a small single track car that can still be purchased?
4) if 3 is too vague, what are the top v-mounts (opinion) out right now?

I found the Amuse Titan R1 which might have a titanium mid-pipe but I didn't get a good picture from looking at rx7boutique. I also so a few threads floating around indicating that there are exhausts with a straight back from the downpipe but I didn't find anything indicating who made it .

As far as v-mounts I know the rotary extreme one is fairly popular (though I don't know if you can still buy it, it's on their website so I assume so), then the rx7store version, then for jdm knight sports seems pretty common.

Any info/opinions would be appreciated, especially if anyone has data/performance numbers .

If you wanted a custom setup for the v mount I could built you a setup. You can check out the v mount I built for an FC in the western section.

As for titanium exhausts, that would be the old HKS titanium race exhaust (NOT the CF canister one with a titanium look tip). It's been discontinued for a while now, but I see used ones come through the sale section of the forum every now and then. In fact, I think I saw a thread just recently with no buyer yet.

Found it, but it's in NY and it is pickup only:

The HKS Titanium is stainless except for the muffler section.

Rotary Extreme sold titanium midpipes and exhaust at one point, might check with them to see if they can get you one.

That one looks sweet but unfortunately I don't think it's TI the entire way

It's a different owner now right? I actually bought my car from them, (it was the car the used on their site to show the FEED body kit) but at the time Chuck was still the owner. I can try calling them and see what's what.

This is kind of where I'm leaning right now, use the best radiator and IC core and just weld one up. I guess it would all depend on the pricing for stuff.

For V-mount I would go (if they still make it) with the Rotary Extreme kit. It has been proven to be a nice set up. If you want a full cat back exhaust I would look into a JIC exhaust or ask RX7boutique to source you one. As for mid pipe I can't think of any one of the top of my head that makes one. It doesn't mean that you could get one custom made though.

Check with Bryan at rx7boutique.com and he will let you know which exhausts are available that meet your request and most likely get it for you. Those guys are awesome!

Sent a pm to Bryan, hopefully I hear good news back

Yeah the Greddy is the one I saw from awhile back, it's a good exhaust, and for way cheaper than anyone else, probably is I still need to get a mid-pipe in TI.

Sent you a PM but for people who search going forward. The only two full titanium downpipe exhausts are Revolution and FEED ti-94. Also as someone previously mentioned the HKS 4" ti but the piping is SS and the canister is full titanium.

There are still a few titanium catbacks in production but they are EXPENSIVE, getting one slightly used might be a better option. In terms of midpipes, the only titanium midpipes currently in production are from R-Magic, one is resonated and one is straight pipe - NOT cheap. Some manufacturers like PanSpeed made resonated ti midpipes but they are extremely tough to find and no longer in production.

For vmounts, I really like the HKS and Knight Sports V-mount, both extremely well designed. Also greddy just release a new vmount that has a good following in Japan.

feed ti 94

installed on my car:
