Cruise control buttons recessed into the dash

I suppose life is good when this is what I have to complain about. I pushed the Off button for the cruise control (by the speedometer) and it has partially fallen back into the dash.

How should I go about fixing this? I tried using some velcro to pull it back but that didn't do much. I'm really hoping the answer isn't "take a portion of the dash apart" but I guess that wouldn't surprise me too much. The car's a 93 touring but I doubt that's a shock to anyone. Thanks in advance.

pulling the cluster isn't too bad...take steering wheel column cover off (3 screws underneath)

couple screws under the dash...pull the vent cover off (where the door meets) find the screw, slide cluster toward you...fix problem, reinstall.

IIRC the switch is held to the cluster by two screws....I bet just one fell out and you need to tighten it.

I did start taking the screws off from the steering column but I didn't want to go much further before asking for help.

Thanks, I'll give it a shot tonight.

Just to confirm dubulup, it isn't a bad job. IIRC though, one of those three (3) screws underneath the steering column cover is a machine screw...just make a note of it's position. I think it's the one nearest the ignition switch.
Go at it slow and carefully and hood will just pull straight toward you. Two screws on the switch. I doubt the screw worked itself out, it's probably stripped or broken. Still not that big of a deal. JB WELD would be my first thought. Good luck.
